Have you ever asked yourself why people get involved in Politics?

  • Some people do because of their political ambitions
  • I am involved because I want to work on solving challenges we face as a community, a State, and a Country.

I sat with my 9 year old daughter today (June 14th) in the backyard. She asked me "Dad why do you want to be elected instead of just being here at home with us" After my heart bounced back I gave her this answer.

Sometimes you think about the way things are in the world, and the way you think things should be. When I think about that stuff I get sad and angry. I think that people should do something about it. Most people hope that someone else will do something. I think I am supposed to be that someone else that makes a choice to change those things. It isn't an easy choice and sometimes it is a very difficult choice. Choosing to be the person that tries to make a difference means I miss out on some very important things. I know that my choice means that you miss out on some very important things too. Our country has had many people that made the hard choice to miss out on some of those important things so that we live in a great country with great opportunities. Most of those people serve in the military, but some decide to be elected. I don't know if I will win. I just know that I have to find a way to make things better, so when you grow up you will have great opportunities for you and your children.

I want to make a difference...

I am asking to represent this community because I want to make a difference. Sure doesn't every politician say that? For those that know me, you know my words matter. I am passionate in my desire to serve and make my efforts matter. I want to serve you with honor and integrity.

I have been serving the residents of Waukesha going back to the mid 90's! My wife has been a teacher in the Mukwonago School District from 2008 - 2013 and has signed her contract for the coming school year. Finding different ways for the community to benefit from my efforts has been my driving motivation. Being involved is what makes a community great! I hope I get the chance to positively represent us.

My #1 Goal  -Education and Common Core

Good schools, become GREAT SCHOOLS, when teachers and administrators take ownership for their work. That is a maxim that can be applied to anyone's job. Imagine if someone in a boardroom in Washington told you how to do your job?? Would you be filled with excitement and passion? Do you know that the ONLY 2 curriculum experts that worked on Common Core voted AGAINST the standards??? Sounds like big government is trying to manage a new nightmare.

I am going to work hard on restoring the LOCAL control of educational curriculum. I want to restore educational standards to local school boards and our teachers and principles. We should be focusing on higher standards and better opportunities and choices for our children and parents here in our community and NOT in a lobbyist boardroom.

Indiana and Louisiana have withdrawn from COMMON CORE, and Minnesota never went in. 35 of 46 States that originally said yes to Common Core have acted to get out or have drawn up Bills to do so. In Wisconsin there have been Bills drafted- but they are sitting tied up in committees. Why hasn't Wisconsin gotten this done?

I was recognized by the Education Freedom Coalition in Atlanta, Georgia as the Candidate that is standing up for our kids! The sooner we act the sooner we can get on a path to restore strong standards and give our great schools the ability to take ownership of the results we demand as a community.

Authentic Conservative Leader

LOWERED Property Taxes saving tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars and I did that BEFORE Act 10 was law

Individually Wrote the adopted 2014 Budget which  REDUCED SPENDING

While other candidates talk about being for reducing the burden tax payers carry- they have a record of selling out the voters and raising taxes - raising spending and even raising their pay.. Perry and Cummings record shows that in 2014 alone they voted to RAISE SPENDING over 1.1 MILLION DOLLARS. I refused to increase the tax levy by even $5,000 - its a matter of principle for me!

Community Connection

People ask what separates the Candidates. I say that I have served the community over the last 2 decades. While others have served political candidates or the party- I have served the families of Waukesha.

10 year Varsity Coach Waukesha South High School (1995 - 2005)

3 Term Elected Supervisor (2010 - 2014)

Adult & Children's Ministry - Fox River Christian Church (2010 - Present)

  • Adult Bible Study Leader
  • Upward Sports Coach and Waukesha Campus Site Director
  • Child Care  & Summer VBS

Citizen Board Member Waukesha West Bypass Citizen CCCS (2010 - Present)

* My wife and I moved to Waukesha in 2004. I served the community before I was living in the community(Waukesha South Varsity Coach 1995-2005). It was through that service that I knew this area was where I wanted to lay down roots and raise my family. The gap of service between 2005 and 2010 corresponds with the birth of my children in 2005 and 2007.
